SOMERVILLE COLLEGE

Somerville College was one of the first women's colleges at the University of Oxford, and has since then been renowned for its progressive environment, outstanding academic achievements, and a host of famous alumni.
Located in the heart of Jericho, northern Oxford, the college is a few blocks away from the historic city centre, and in close walking distance to the main bus and train station.
The conference will be held in Somerville's large Flora Anderson Hall just off of the main quad.
If you are travelling to Oxford via the London Airports, an easy way to go is by bus. All airports offer bus services directly from the airport to Oxford's main bus station, Gloucester Green.

FINDING YOUR WAY TO OXFORD FROM THE AIRPORT

Most airports have direct bus services to Oxford's main bus station. Below you will find links to the individual aiports' transportation websites, which include time tables and price information. We recommend flying in to either Heathrow, Gatwick or Luton.
GATWICK AIRPORT
There are direct buses from Gatwick's North and South Terminal. A standard return ticket costs 38GBP and can be purchased directly in the bus. More information can be found here:

DIRECTIONS FROM THE TRAIN STATION
After Arriving at Oxford Train Station take a left down Hythe Bridge Street (past the Saïd Business School). Take a left after the bridge onto Worcester Street and head straight down into Walton Street. Take a right onto Little Clarendon Street and continue to the end. Take a left on Woodstock Road and head to Somerville's main entrance which is located at Woodstock Rd, Oxford OX2 6HD. There is a taxi stand at the train station. A taxi to Somerville College will be around 5 GBP.
DIRECTIONS FROM THE BUS STATION
After Arriving at the Main Bus Station (Gloucester Green), head onto Walton Street and head straight until you reach Little Clarendon Street. Take a right onto Little Clarendon and head straight. Take a left onto Woodstock Road. Somerville's main entrance will be on your left. There is a taxi stand at the bus station that can take you to Somerville.

FINDING YOUR WAY AROUND SOMERVILLE

When you arrive at the main entrance (porter's lodge) walk through the first quad and head straight through the main quad. Flora Anderson Hall is at the back of the main quad facing the dining hall. There will be signs guiding you to the building, and if you need any help, the porters will be there to answer any of your questions.
